Hi guys,

Have a look at the below if you're trying to install ABBYY Flexi Capture with a licence key...

System Requirements
  1. 1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  2. Microsoft® Windows® 8, Microsoft® Windows® 7, Microsoft Windows Vista, Microsoft Windows Server 2012, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, Microsoft Windows Server 2003 or Microsoft Windows XP
The operating system must support the language you select for the user interface.
  1. 1024 MB RAM
An additional 512 MB of RAM is required for each additional processor in a multi-processor system.
  1. 850 MB of free disk space for installation and an additional 700 MB for program operation
  2. Video card and monitor supporting a resolution of at least 1024×768
  3. Keyboard and mouse or other pointing device
Note: To be able to open PDF files or images from Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Outlook, you need to have the corresponding Microsoft Office application installed on your system.

Abbyy FineReader Engine Local (via cmd):

1. Download link: https://download.uipath.com/3rdParty/Abbyy.FineReader.11.zip

2. Open elevated cmd in the folder where you extracted the archive and run:
Setup.exe /qb /v INSTALLDIR="C:\Abbyy\FR11" SN=serialkey ARCH=x86 LICENSESRV=Yes

3. In cmd navigate to "bin" folder in the installation folder of Abby and execute
LicenseManager.exe /SilentActivation /SN:serialkey

Abbyy FineReader Engine Local Developer Install:

  • From extracted location run as administrator: setup.exe.
  • Select I have a valid licence and click next.
  • Click next on continue with installation page.

  • Disable x64 version and select x86.
  • Input valid licence key obtained from UiPath / Abbyy and specify desired install path.
  • To connect to trial licence do not enter any details and click next. Otherwise input relevant licence details.

  • Finish installation and move to the product activation.

  • Choose ‘Via the Internet’. In this case an activation is carried out automatically and takes only a few seconds. If you choose either ‘By e-mail’ or ‘By e-mail from another computer’ (your computer doesn’t have an Internet connection) you need to enter the path to the Activation File received from ABBYY in the corresponding field of the Activation Wizard.

If you're using this alongside UiPath then don't forget to install UiPath.Abbyy.Activities in your Studio along with ensuring you have UiPath.UIAutomation.Activities and if you're planning to extract information from PDF's you'll need UiPath.PDF.Activities.

Happy Automation!
